Warning: Do not exceed the rated capacity of the tool, as it may cause component failure and can result in injury or death. Do not allow anyone to stand in front of the punch or behind the hydraulic ram.
Caution: When the hole is completed, the punch unit (Punch, die, and draw stud) can fall free toward the die sized. Make sure you have secure footing and position yourself to avoid injuries in case of slippage, breakage, or any other loss of control while punching.
Operation Instructions: 1. The 1/2" Conduit size punch requires a 3/8" or larger pilot hole. 2. Place the 1/2" conduit die on the 3/8" draw stud and insert the draw stud through the pilot hole. 3. Thread the punch on the draw stud with the cutting edge toward the material being punched. 4. Turn the draw stud clockwise with the wrench until the material is punched. 5. Disassemble the punch by turning the draw stud counter-clockwise while holding the punch. Tip the die and drop out the split slugs. 6. For 3/4" through 2" conduit sized holes, use a 3/4" draw stud. Place the selected size die on the draw stud, insert the draw stud in a 3/4" or larger pilot hole, and thread the same size punch on the draw stud with the cutting edge toward the material. 7. Turn the draw stud clockwise with the wrench until the material is punched. 8. Disassemble the punch by turning the draw stud counter-clockwise while holding the punch. Tip the die and drop out the slip slugs.
Time Saver: Use a 1/2" conduit punch to make a 7/8" pilot hole for 3/4"-2" conduit punches.
